Weight Loss Supplements

Today we see more and more people spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars each year on weight loss. They look at weight loss and hope of speeding up their metabolism and increasing the speed of weight loss. The main desire for these people is to be attractive and accepted but this is becoming more difficult to achieve. The fitness industry is growing like crazy, but there are still a lot of people unable to lose their fat in spite of all their exercise and diet efforts. In the United States alone, more than 60% of adults are overweight and 30% are considered obese. This is due to a lot of weight loss products, promising unrealistic goals, dietary supplement manufacturers relying on the overweight persons failure to survive and the information regarding supplements on the market are written by the seller just to make the sale.

The Food and Drug Administration has successfully banned many illegal marketers. However, some products are still available. Consumers can be fooled by the labels which claim to be caffeine or ephedra free. Not knowing that these supplements are composed of other ingredients that may pose the same health risk. These include heart and digestive problems, headaches, inability to sleep, and psychological side effects.

Some manufacturers claim that their products contain EGCG, which is an ingredient in green tea, claiming to speed up metabolism. In some studies it found that this ingredient could slightly increase your body's ability to burn calories and is now found in numerous weight loss supplements. It has many good points, but the body may still adapt to EGCG after a period of time causing it to lose effectiveness. The effective benefit of this ingredient could total 60 to 70 calories per day, which would help prevent excessive weight gain.

Since the number one reason why people eat is because they feel hungry there’s another ingredient on the market, which increases the feeling of being full and decreases appetite, Guar Gum. However, numerous recent studies have shown that this ingredient has no meaningful benefits to weight loss.

One of the newest innovations in the weight loss industry is to use skin absorption instead of pills. There's a cutting gel, which is one of the best-selling fat loss cream technologies today. It is an epidril product. You just rub it where you want the fat loss. There is no proof that this product is effective. Looking at the industry, today, there may be a few products on the market, which are helpful, but your best bet is still to cut calorie intake and increase exercise.
